I am a graduate student in the Ecology and Evolution program at Rutgers, New Brunswick, NJ. I am in Dr. Jean Marie Hartman’s lab, along with fellow PhD student Johnny Quispe. We study wetland restoration, plants, and their roles in resilience to environmental disturbance. We also look at watershed pattern and process at the regional scale. Our tools include field work, labwork, and geospatial analysis and modeling.
I am a graduate teaching assistant in the general biology course, a fabulous and rigorous undergraduate course for students beginning their careers in the biological sciences. I am currently a Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens Botany in Action Fellow and the Torrey Botanical Society Andrew M. Greller Graduate Research Fellow for Conservation of Local Flora and Ecosystems. I have also received generous support from the Garden Club of New Jersey.
